Earlier: CSIS Won't Release Data Used In "Right-Wing Terrorism" Smear and Media Promote ADL Propaganda on ‘Extremist Terrorism’

The Washington Post has another article saying right-wing, “anti-government,” and “white supremacists” are more dangerous than the far Left.

Domestic terrorism incidents have soared to new highs in the United States, driven chiefly by white-supremacist, anti-Muslim and anti-government extremists on the far right, according to a Washington Post analysis of data compiled by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

The rise of domestic extremism in America

Data shows a surge in homegrown attacks not seen in a quarter-century

By  Robert O'Harrow Jr.Andrew Ba Tran and  Derek Hawkins April 12, 2021

Oddly enough, when a Muslim immigrant gunned down ten white people in Colorado the other day, according to the  media and police, his motive is “still a mystery.” That incident—and others like it—is not included in this Domestic Terror roundup.

Since 2015, right-wing extremists have been involved in 267 plots or attacks and 91 fatalities, the data shows. At the same time, attacks and plots ascribed to far-left views accounted for 66 incidents leading to 19 deaths…

The word “ascribed” is doing a lot of work here.  Almost 60 years after the assassination of JFK, most far-leftists are unwilling to ascribe the murder of an anti-communist Democratic President to a “communist gunman” called Lee Harvey Oswald.

Still, 91 is not a lot, over six years (ignore the so-called plots, they’re mostly imaginary or made-up by the FBI or media) and over the entire United States.

It’s dwarfed by the death toll in just one city (Chicago) in just this year…from January to April 13, 2021:

You might argue that that’s not caused by ideology or terror—they’re mostly blacks killing blacks for black reasons—but of course, it’s backed by far-Left lawfare against the city government (by the ACLU, among others) and the only politician who was willing to speak out against the killing was Donald Trump, who was opposed  by local far-Left politicians.

In August, a supporter of President Donald Trump was shot dead in Portland, Ore., by a suspected gunman who was a self-described antifa supporter. That killing was the only death last year attributed to far-left violence, the data shows. There were two deaths attributed to far-right attacks.

The whole point of this article about ideological violence is that they’re not considering any black violence as ideological, including all the violent rioting that has been tearing apart cities since George Floyd died.

This is based on a report for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, which is concerned that too many soldiers are patriotic: The Military, Police, and the Rise of Terrorism in the United States, CSIS, April 12, 2021 [PDF/Methodology PDF].

Steve Sailer wrote about how concerned the Pentagon is with all this patriotism: Army Brass: Soldiers Are Too Stupid to Grasp Why 500 BLM/Antifa Riots Are No Problem But One MAGA Riot Is the Worst Thing Ever.

But CSIS reports can't be trusted. Chris Roberts of Amren.com tried to fact check a previous report, to find out which attacks were classified as right-wing, etc., and got this result:

The line between “religious” and “right wing” is blurred. Attacks motivated by opposition to abortion are “right-wing,” not “religious,” and “hatred based on sexuality or gender identity” is “right wing.” By this definition, Omar Mateen, who pledged allegiance to ISIS and murdered 49 people at a gay nightclub, could be a “right-winger.”

But there is no way to know whether CSIS called Mateen “right wing” or “religious.” The study is based on “an original data set of 893 terrorist plots and attacks in the United States between January 1994 and May 2020,” but the authors won’t release the data. I emailed and called several people at CSIS and asked for it. Caleb Diamond, “Media Relations Manager and Editorial Associate,” finally got back to me and said CSIS refuses to share it.

CSIS promoted this study knowing that it would make waves. It also made sure you can’t check its work. Are we the only people who care?
