Trump Gets It: We Don’t Have A Gun Problem, Or Even A Terrorism Problem. We Have An Immigration Problem—And A Lying Press Problem

It’s fitting Donald Trump’s speech on immigration was paired with him revoking the press credentials of the Washington Post for its biased and dishonest reporting. His speech was nothing less than a declaration of war on the Open Borders and anti-national Narrative of the Main Stream Media, the Democratic Party, and academia [Donald J. Trump Addresses Terrorism, Immigration, and National Security, Donald J Trump for President, June 13, 2016].

He not only banished rumors he was backing down on his proposed Muslim travel ban but laid out the kind of vision for patriotic immigration reform Americans have been begging for since 1965. And he identified the force which is actively endangering Americans—not the increasingly irrelevant Democrats, but what Germans call the Lügenpresse—the lying press.

Trump declared that the purpose of immigration is to benefit the already existing population of American citizens. He also denied the MSM conventional wisdom that the United States simply exists as a kind of global boarding house that every person on Earth already has a right to occupy.

Trump asserted:

Immigration is a privilege, and we should not let anyone into this country who doesn’t support our communities... [W]e don’t even know who’s coming in. And we continue to admit millions more with no real checks or scrutiny.

Critically, Trump also called out the hesitance of American Muslims to report their own extremists to law enforcement. While stating that he wanted all Americans to succeed—“including Muslims”—Trump alleged the community was sheltering terrorists.

They know what’s going on. They know that he was bad. They knew the people in San Bernardino were bad. But you know what? They didn’t turn them in. We had death, and destruction.

Finally, Trump attacked Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy, especially the intervention in Libya, which he said has “created space for ISIS to expand and grow like nobody has ever seen before.”

In short, Trump called for immigration patriotism, an end to the Politically Correct practices of importing and then appeasing anti-American Muslims, and an Americans First foreign policy.

In response, the American MSM essentially declared war on Trump.

The increasingly hysterical Huffington Post, which cheered President Obama’s wildly unconstitutional Executive Orders, declared Trump’s speech was “terrifying” and called Trump a “madman” in a screaming headline. The largest mass shooting in American soil is not worth getting angry about, but a ban on Muslim travel, HuffPo warned, represented a challenge to the American system of “checks and balances”. [Donald Trump Just Defied Congress To Stop His Muslim Ban, S.V. Date and Sam Stein, June 13, 2016]

Slate also is far more worried about Donald Trump and his supporters than they are about the Islamic State.

Isaac Chotiner wailed:

Trump’s response to the Orlando attack is a frightening window into how he might govern if elected. And his speech on Monday afternoon was the most terrifying of the campaign.

[Trump’s Fearmongering Hate-Filled Speech on Orlando Is the Scariest Thing He’s Done Yet, June 13, 2016]

The prospect of Islamic radicals mobilizing throughout the West leaves Chotiner sanguine, but Trump is “terrifying?” Chotiner doesn’t really say why—except that Trump was “warning” Muslim Americans and implying they were disloyal.

In fact, of course, relatives of the San Bernardino shooters were arrested soon after that shooting for fraud. Like any other assimilated American family, they also had discussions about supporting the Islamic State. [San Bernardino shooter’s dad: He was ‘obsessed’ with Israel, by Rossella Tercatin, Times of Israel, December 6, 2015]. They’re just like us—and don’t you dare say otherwise!

Seddique-Mateen10-1Meanwhile, Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen’s father hosts an anti-American satellite television program aimed at Pashtun Afghans, usually while wearing military garb and speechifying about how he will someday become president of the country. Even after his son had just killed dozens of people, Mateen felt it necessary to expound on how Allah would “punish those involved in dressuphomosexuality”, [Orlando Terrorist’s Father After Shooting: God Will Punish Gays, by Carolina May, Breitbart, June 13, 2016] According to a report in People magazine, Omar Mateen’s second wife also knew he was planning an attack [People Magazine: Killer’s Wife Knew He Was Planning An Attack, by Carolina May, Breitbart, June 13, 2016].

Matthew Yglesias at Vox sneered that Trump’s speech “failed utterly”:

The bulk of it was dedicated to demagoguery, xenophobia, and bizarre lies about status quo immigration policy in the United States and Hillary Clinton’s proposals for gun legislation” .

[Donald Trump’s foreign policy speech revealed a dangerous mix of ignorance and arrogance, June 13, 2016]

In Yglesias’s fantasy world, the United States actually hasn’t intervened to overthrow the Syrian government and prompted an international crisis. This is surely news to the various anti-Assad “moderates” being lavishly supplied with American arms and to the collection of anti-Assad “extremists” we are occasionally bombing and killing. [Obama’s ‘New’ Plan for Syria, by Paul Shrinkman, US News, October 9, 2015]

Of course, telling the two groups apart is difficult. Occasionally we even fund a group one day and then kill them the next, as the U.S. military did just last month [US bomb anti-ISIS forces in Syria, Pentagon confirms, Russia Today, June 12, 2016].

One of the other outlets piling on was…The Washington Post. In The Orlando shooter, Donald Trump and the wave of hatred gripping our country, one Petula Dvorak said the problem was simply “hate”—something evidently shared by both terrorists and Trump—and said the attacks were not motivated by Islam but by Mateen’s anger at seeing two men kissing [June 13, 2016].

Of course, the problem with this theory is that Mateen was also scouting Disney World as a potential target for an attack. [Orlando Nightclub Gunman Scouted Walt Disney World as Potential Target: Source, by Stephanie Petit, People, June 13, 2016]

Trump banned Jeff Bezos’s Washington Post from covering him because he was angry about an article which suggested, based on deliberate misreading, he was “connecting” President Obama to the Orlando shooting:

"Look, we're led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he's got something else in mind," Trump said in a lengthy interview on Fox News early Monday morning. "And the something else in mind — you know, people can't believe it. People cannot, they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can't even mention the words 'radical Islamic terrorism.' There's something going on. It's inconceivable. There's something going on."

In that same interview, Trump was asked to explain why he called for Obama to resign in light of the shooting and he answered, in part: "He doesn't get it or he gets it better than anybody understands — it's one or the other, and either one is unacceptable."

[Donald Trump seems to connect President Obama to Orlando shooting, by Jenna Johnson, Washington Post, June 13, 2016]

Of course, this isn’t “connecting” Obama to the shooting. It’s simply highlighting Obama’s seeming reluctance to criticize Muslims when they attack and kill Americans compared with his eagerness to collectively punish whites and Christians.

And this is something he has in common with the Main Stream Media, which is increasing openly revealing itself as a repressive force.

The MSM reaction to Trump conveys no information and contains no reporting. It’s simply a signaling display to intimidate Americans from supporting Trump and from openly discussing “hate facts.”

Indeed, as reflected above, some of Trump’s supposed “lies” have already turned out to be truth. Some Muslims in the United States did actually celebrate on September 11—including the shooter in Orlando. Muslim communities in the United States actually are harboring extremists. Political Correctness literally is costing lives.

And Americans know they are being lied to, According to a new poll, just 20 percent of the American public has confidence in newspapers, with a similar amount believing in television news. The only thing Americans hate more than the media is Paul Ryan’s Congress.[Fishwrap: Confidence in newspapers, TV news hits bottom, by Paul Bedard, Washington Examiner, June 13, 2016]

The modern MSM exists to present a false Narrative, conceal facts, and promote an ideological agenda. Reporters are simply Cultural Marxist political activists. Trump wouldn’t let hostile protesters into his rallies. Leftist journalists have the same beliefs, the same goals, and the same reckless disregard for truth. Why should they be treated any differently?

The stakes of the 2016 election are brutally clear: The American nation, yes or no?

As the reaction to Trump’s speech makes clear, the MSM actively wishes our destruction. I see no reason American patriots shouldn’t return the favor.
