On Thursday ZeroHedge posted Wall Street Admits The Biggest Economic Shocker: All Jobs In The Past Year Have Gone To Illegal Aliens.

This discusses the varied statistical jiggery pokery employed by analysts (many highly partisan and unethical), notably the totally conjectural birth/death (of businesses) data to misrepresent this data.

The conclusion:

If 100K jobs per month are fabricated birth/death artifacts (i.e., not real jobs but a statistically goalseeked fudge factor), and another 109K jobs per month are illegal aliens, that leaves just about 11K jobs for everyone else, i.e., law abiding Americans.

ZeroHedge has a lugubrious chart:

saying

Stunning statistic: there has been ZERO INCREASE in jobs for native-born workers in over five years, since July 2018!

As I said in ZeroHedge: Feb Saw Record Immigrant Job Scarfing. No Job Growth For Americans Since 2018

For almost 19 years Peter Brimelow and Ed Rubenstein published monthly an analysis of the Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report, focusing on the displacement of American workers by the ‘foreign-born.” We had even invented an American Worker Displacement Index which was almost always rising except during the Trump years.

This project was costly and labor-intensive. As the Letitia James pogrom against VDARE mounted, it had, very sadly to be suspended. The last was NATIONAL DATA: U.S. Worker Displacement Armageddon Intensifies In October—Ruling Class / Regime Media Simply Delusional About It posted on November 7, 2022

We grieve for our suspended project, now more essential than ever.

But ZeroHedge this week produced important added value. Inside The Most Ridiculous Jobs Report In Years by Tyler Durden [Friday, June 7, 2024] pointed out:

while the headline payrolls number was clearly—and purposefully—stellar, the unemployment unexpectedly increased from 3.9% to 4.0%.

How is this possible? Simple: as we explained earlier, it had to do with the staggering divergence between the Establishment and Household Surveys, with the former surging 272K while the latter tumbling 408K...

the gap between the always upward sloping (and market moving) Establishment Survey and the flatlined Household Survey, which hasn’t made a new high since late 2023 and is back to where it was last summer, is now a stunning 9 million, the biggest on record!

This is an extremely important development.

It means that notwithstanding some aggregate economic activity growth, which has the open-borders crowd ululating (Drudge Boosts Toilet Paper Fallacy. But CNN (!) Reports Devastating Flaw) either the illegals are NOT being easily absorbed into the labor force, remaining on welfare, or that to the extent they are, they are literally displacing legal U.S. residents.

During the later Obama Administration, relatively stronger Household surveys (which more reliably pick up illegals) suggested they were capturing a disproportionate share of the new jobs.

Now the Household survey implies they are directly displacing Americans.

Where is GOP?
