Previously: Biden’s Great Replacement Acceleration Act May Be DOA, But GOP Needs A Leader To Defend The Historic American Nation

Congress unveiled Joe Biden’s nation-destroying Amnesty two weeks ago, but Democrats already want to put it on ice.

Politico reported Thursday that Democrats are not going to push for it this month because they simply don’t have the votes. Moderate Democrats are queasy over the bill and insist it must be changed. Some of their number believe the bill should include mandatory e-Verify to gain their votes. At the same time, far-Left Democrats want to ensure criminal aliens gain legalized through the amnesty and oppose any attempts at moderation. “We don’t want this bill to be watered down before it gets to the floor, which is sometimes what happens with immigration bills,” Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal told Politico ['Not quite ready yet': Democrats won’t take up Biden immigration plan this month, by Sarah Ferris et al., Politico, March 4, 2021].

The prospects don’t look good for comprehensive Amnesty. Democrats may take up smaller, piecemeal legislation such as amnesty for illegal aliens who arrived as minors. Leadership may opt for that option if the whip count does not change for Biden’s bill. But far-left Democrats oppose the piecemeal approach—they only want comprehensive amnesty.

All of this inner Democratic turmoil occurs while the GOP remains resolutely opposed to amnesty. We’re still not out of the woods, but the latest news looks good for immigration patriots. If Democrats can’t agree on the bill, just imagine how it will go down with the rest of Congress.
