H/T One Old Vet

Richard Viguerie’s Conservative HQ has been doing superb work denouncing the GOP Establishment’s connivance at Obamnesty – I used their picture in The Cruz Obamnesty Vote – Better Scrupulous Cowards Than Treasonous Liars.

Their Sen. Johnson Provides Evidence Capitol Hill GOP Leaders OK With Obama’s Amnesty George Raisley (undated) is an acidic analysis of GOP Readies Immigration Measures By Laura Meckler The Wall Street Journal December 26 2014

…it will come as no surprise to conservatives who were skeptical of establishment GOP Speaker John Boehner’s Nov. 13 statement “We are going to fight the president tooth and nail if he continues down this path. This is the wrong way to govern. This is exactly what the American people said on Election Day they didn’t want!” that nowhere in the article does Meckler report any Capitol Hill Republican leader vowing to stop or reverse Obama’s actions.

The reality is it gives them what their allies in the cheap labor wing of the US Chamber of Commerce want and it caters to the racial politics that they think (despite the evidence of the midterm elections) will swing a few votes in their favor.

Raisley then highlights a devastating quote from GOP Senator Ron Johnson which in the fuller WSJ version reads
Mr. Johnson, the Wisconsin GOP senator, said that Democrats have already gotten their half of the bargain through Mr. Obama’s unilateral action. Between the recent executive action and one in 2012 that aided young people, some five million illegal immigrants are now eligible for a temporary reprieve from deportation and work permits.

“By and large, the Democrats got what they have been looking for on their part of the bargain. Now it is time to give the American people what they’ve wanted,” he said.

(Conservative HQ emphasis)

Why did Amnesty have to come before “giving the American people what they’ve wanted"? And without any actual bargain struck?

Because that is where the money is.

I applaud the Conservative HQ assessment:

What we want is Obama’s unconstitutional policies overturned, and American jobs preserved for Americans, and we're not seeing it in the secret “bargain” that's apparently been made between the Capitol Hill establishment GOP, Big Business, Obama and the Democrats…

The way we see it, Johnson and the Capitol Hill GOP establishment have no intention whatsoever of overturning Obama’s amnesty – they plan to move on to giving the tech industry what it wants, millions of “techno-coolie” visas, not giving the American people “what they’ve wanted," which is an end to the illegal immigration crisis created by Washington’s corrupt political elite.

Meckler list several border security measures being considered by GOP Congresscritters – but also some special-interest loophole-widening actions
Rep. Raúl Labrador (R., Idaho), a onetime immigration attorney, plans two bills, an aide said.

One would create a temporary worker program that would allow as many as 350,000 foreigners to enter the country each year for construction, restaurant and other low-skilled jobs. These workers would have most of the labor rights afforded in a broad immigration bill that passed the Senate last year, such as the right to change jobs.

This answers Raul Labrador: A Fraud. But Our Fraud?

Raisley also notes an anonymous GOP committee aide RINOing

“a rollback of the executive action might initially be attached to the border bill but would have to eventually be stripped.”

“If the intent is to pass a bill I’d want this decoupled. Otherwise, it will be vetoed,”

The reality of course is that Obama has launched a No Borders Policy and only impeachment will stop him. The GOP leadership has two tasks – defending the Constitution and defending the American Nation.

They seem intent on failing at both.
