The Anarcho-Tyranny sent a strong message to ranchers on the southwest border whose homes and properties are invaded, trashed, and sometimes robbed by illegal aliens. You better not tangle with illegal aliens, and if you do, you better not kill one. Cops in Santa Cruz, Arizona have charged a 73-year-old rancher with first-degree murder in connection with the killing of a Mexican illegal on January 30.

George Alan Kelly’s ranch is about a mile-and-a-half from the border.

The justice of the peace, Emilio Velasquez, set bond at $1 million and refused to reduce it even after Kelly explained that his wife would be alone.

“During the Tuesday morning court appearance, Kelly inquired about the circumstances of his bond, asking whether Velasquez would consider reducing the amount. Kelly’s wife, he told Velasquez, lives with him on the ranch,” Jonathan Clark and Angela Gervasi reported for Nogales International:

“She’s there by herself… nobody to take care of her, the livestock. Or the ranch,” Kelly said. “And I’m not going anywhere. I can’t come up with a million dollars. Is there... Would you consider reducing it to any degree?”

Velasquez: Nothing doing.

The dead illegal is Gabriel Cuen Butimea, 48. And he was a mulish one at that, Gervasi reported:

[F]ederal court records show that Cuen Butimea had a history of illegal border-crossings and deportations in and around Nogales, with the most recent documented case coming in 2016.

So a 73-year-old man, who faced an imminent threat from a much younger and probably dangerous illegal alien, faces a murder charge for killing him, and, topping it off, the justice of the peace refused to lower his bond.

Arizona’s self-defense law says “a person is justified in threatening or using physical force against another when and to the extent a reasonable person would believe that physical force is immediately necessary to protect himself against the other’s use or attempted use of unlawful physical force.”

Given that the only eyewitness testimony, apparently, will be Kelly’s if the case goes to trial, an indictment seems problematic. Then again, recall what happened to mostly peaceful J6 protesters.

Kelly never should have been arrested, never mind the murder charge. But the Anarcho-Tyranny’s message, again, is clear: Protect your property from Traitor Joe Biden’s Great Replacement invaders at your own risk.

It’s always worth noting that the policy of America’s ally, Israel, is to shoot Palestinians who try to cross its border:
