RedState’s Daniel Horowitz is probably the brightest new star in the patriotic immigration writer firmament: I have been extremely impressed with his work since he proposed challenging the Obama Administrative Amnesty on Constitutional grounds a year ago.
Now he has reached another VDAREish conclusion in The Veiled Anti-American Sentiment of Open Borders Politicians RedState June 17th, 2013
…the open borders “right” has adopted the parlance, tactics, and ad hominem attacks that traditionally emanate from the left. They impugn the motives of those who desire strong border security and orderly/gradual immigration as racist. However, in recent days, it is they who have been exposed as individuals who harbor deep-rooted prejudges…against native (born) Americans.
This essay, which deserves reading in full and which includes a useful quotation from Calvin Coolidge ending
"As a nation, our first duty must be those who are already our inhabitants, whether native or immigrants."
What is really driving this indefatigable push for mass amnesty, precipitous immigration, and open borders is the desire on the part of big business for an endless supply of cheaper workers – be it low, middle, or high skilled…
If pro-amnesty forces are content with calling us anti-immigrant, then it is doubly apt to refer to them as anti-American – native or immigrant.
This conclusion was foreshadowed by Peter Brimelow in The Immigration Debate: Racism—Or Treason? in 2006.
My friends, there is a growing phenomenon in this country of crony capitalism taking place. For example, there's an old wives' tale, an old myth that basically holds that big money, moneyed interests always support Republicans. And that just isn't the case anymore. Big money supports government.
…these people happen to want the influx of illegal immigrants because they are cheap labor…So in this whole amnesty bill, immigration, path-to-citizenship, comprehensive reform, I would urge you to stop thinking about ideas and consequences and the Constitution, because that's not at play here. What's at play here is money…All of the moneyed interests, the donors and the political consultants, are telling these Republicans the money is gonna dry up if they don't support amnesty. The big money people want it… for their own specific interests…
…forget how many are gonna vote Democrat and how many are gonna vote Republican, that's not how the Republicans are looking at this. I guarantee you they're not. They're looking at it financially, number one. All of their big money wants the bill. All of the Republican major donors want this bill. I'll give you some names. The Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson. I mean, they want the bill, because they want the influx of new labor. They want it. They're not concerned with how anybody's gonna vote down the line. As long as these guys can stay aligned with whoever is running government, they're in fat city.
Money at the Root of GOP's Amnesty Push rushlimbaugh.com June 17, 2013
VDARE.com of course realized this was happening when we asked Immigration And Administrative Amnesty: What Specter Is Haunting The GOP?.That is why we initiated coverage on Sheldon Adelson, asking for instance Cantor's Dream Amnesty Betrayal: Did Sheldon Adelson's $5 Million Play A Role? and Is Cash Avalanche Sweeping GOP Into Amnesty Acquiescence?
Questioning the influence and source of a political opponents’ funding is a perfectly legitimate and normal action. It is a scandal that the Establishment Immigration restraint outfits have lacked the courage to raise this key issue.
But if he keeps it up it will subject Rush Limbaugh to vicious attack, which he no doubt knows. VDARE.com salutes his courage.
Amusingly, we started seeing emulation about this time in the 2007 Amnesty/Immigration Acceleration Campaign.
The time the emulators are far better men.
