The Washington Post reports that someone put up a swastika at Georgetown, and naturally, the president of the school, one John DeGioia, put out the usual “statement” denouncing the seething Nazism that pollutes a very liberal campus.

The Post:

Authorities at Georgetown University are investigating a swastika found painted inside a residence hall restroom on Wednesday evening, at the start of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish high holy season marked by a period of repentance and atonement.

John J. DeGioia, president of the Catholic university, sent an email to students Wednesday night saying, “We have been confronted with an abhorrent act of anti-Semitism.” He said the symbol was “accompanied by threatening and derogatory language advocating for violence against women. ...”

“There is never a time or place for these acts, and this incident is even more disturbing during Rosh Hashanah,” DeGioia said in his email. “We stand in solidarity with our Jewish community and strongly condemn this act of hate, anti-Semitism, and sexism.”

The university president vowed that “those found responsible for these acts of hate will be held fully accountable for their actions.”

I’m going to assume that DeGioia is including any leftist Antifa or Black Lives Matter activist if the “hate crime” turns out to be a hoax.

Speaking of possible hoaxes, note that no new stories have emerged about the “lynching” of a biracial boy in New Hampshire last week, breathless accounts in The New York Times and Washington Post and the obligatory protests notwithstanding.

What have the authorities found out? Is any news organization going to follow up?
