If we’ve learned anything from the communist bombings of 1919, or the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001, it should be that immigration comes at a significant risk to national security. However, it doesn’t seem as though President Joseph R. Biden has taken the hint - or maybe he has his own interests in mind. Our next article comes to us from Patrick J. Buchanan as he explains why President Biden won’t be taking action against the “unrelenting stream” of migration coming from the U.S. Mexico border - but did you know that former presidents have? Buchanan writes “Article IV of the Constitution addresses the obligations of the federal government to the state governments that were being asked to surrender aspects of their sovereignty to form our new Union.” It reads: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government…” “and shall protect each of them against Invasion." Buchanan notes that in the War of 1812 under President James Madison, U.S. forces led by Andrew Jackson held back the invading British. In 1816 under direction of President James Monroe, General Andrew Jackson brought troops to drive American Indians out of Spanish Florida. Even as recently as 1954 under President Dwight Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback” over 1 million Mexicans were deported. Buchanan writes: “America used to regard its southern border as sacrosanct and vulnerable, requiring constant vigilance and occasional action to secure.” Now, under President Biden over 2 million illegals are expected to cross the border by the conclusion of his first year in office.  “America's border paralysis is induced by liberal ideology.” Buchanan explains.
