According to polls, voters have no idea how many illegals are crossing the border. But they do know who opened it, and they want Title 42 in place and illegals deported.
The vast majority of those polled, 75%, think 1 million or fewer illegals enter the country annually. Only 12% believe it’s 1 million or 2 million, while 6% think the figure is 2 million to 3 million. Only 7% guessed more than 3 million illegals cross the border each year.
Last fiscal year, border agents apprehended roughly 2.4 million illegals. Additionally, an estimated 599,000 illegal aliens avoided detection as “gotaways”, putting the total number of illegal entries in fiscal year 2022 around 3 million.
So only 7% of those polled correctly guessed how many invaders are piling into the country each year.
However, a refreshing 68% of Americans want illegals deported, 79% support continuing public health expulsions under Title 42, and 67% say they believe Joe Biden is encouraging illegal immigration.
But you don’t have to ask residents in border states where illegals are wandering around neighborhoods and pestering Americans for help.
In El Paso, a woman was confronted by an illegal alien at her home. The illegal alien reportedly asked the woman to allow him to hide out in the El Paso residents garage for a few minutes.
“This guy came up to me and just asked if he could hide in my garage for a few minutes, so it startled me,” a woman told Shelby Kapp of KTSM in El Pasoh
Meanwhile, thousands of illegals have massed and camped in Matamoros, Mexico, to stampede across the border in anticipation of Title 42’s repeal.
