Democrats and Republicans in Congress are working together to craft an immigration reform bill that could become law as early as next year, a senior White House adviser said on Sunday.
I think some good work is being done on both sides of the aisle to achieve that," Axelrod said, referring to the partisan divide on Capitol Hill.
While Joe Guzzardi is characteristically optimistic, I do not like seeing a real power at the White House, as opposed to an affirmative-action Cabinet Minister, getting involved. I much preferred Rahm Emanuel’s timidity in June.
Axelrod trotted out the same lie as Napolitano:
"We have to have better security at our borders and we are developing that,"
This falsehood was powerfully refuted by the Diggers Realm blog on Friday
Did you know the borders are now secure? Apparently the Department of Homeland Security and its leader Janet Napolitano are trying to make you think that the borders are secure. I have proof otherwise though. All you have to do is go to the website Border Invasion Pics …where volunteers have set up cameras along our border and then upload video of the continued stream of unknown illegal aliens crossing our border daily by the thousands.
Apparently our Department of Homeland Security is too stupid to actually do a quick search of the internet to see that our borders are just as open and vulnerable to illegal
The DHS has blocked Border Invasion Pics from its in-house computers.
