A Pakistani immigrant who served on the Lodi, California, Council has been charged with 14 felony counts of vote fraud, a crime that leftists assure us never occurs. Shakir Khan has quit the council.

The charging document is vague, but the county sheriff explained the charges in a news conference:

He is accused of stashing 41 ballots at his home. Investigators also say he registered 23 people to vote at his home and that his email and phone number were used to register 47 others. Body camera footage showed voters telling detectives how Khan allegedly pressured them to vote for him and how he allegedly falsified voter registration documents.

Authorities released him on his own recognizance.

Khan’s career as a politician began unraveling in 2021 when he and his brother were charged with illegal gambling, money laundering, tax evasion, and disability fraud.

Khan and his family infiltrated the country in 1994 [Lodi Councilman Shakir Khan arraigned for money laundering, tax evasion, illegal gambling, fraud, by Laura S. Diaz, The Record, September 29, 2021].

Pakistanis have been immigrating to Lodi, CA since 1939 (!) when there were about a dozen. In 2001, when Joe Guzzardi wrote View From Lodi, CA:  Immigrants Are Just Not Assimilating, there were at least 1,800 Pakistani members of the local mosque.

The obvious observation: We are permitting Third World immigrants, with no respect for the rule of law or democratic procedure, not only to enter the country but also to run for public office. We also let them work as military contractors, as Khan did, another stupid idea.

Next time you hear a leftist say voter fraud is a white supremacist conspiracy theory, pull out this guy’s picture.
