Peter Brimelow was on the Wake Up with Steve Curtis show yesterday talking about judges who legislate from the bench—specifically Ursula Ungaro-Benages, subject of the recent stories A Gay Illegal Alien (And Fraudster) Can’t Be Deported Because Mexico Is Homophobic—Wait, What?and Kritarch Ursula Ungaro-Benages: Another Candidate for Impeachment.
Often judges are accused of legislating from the bench and that is wrong, but what judges do too often is decide what the law says, no matter how twisted that interpretation may be. Peter Brimelow from VDARE.com joined us to highlight the story of Ursula Ungaro-Benages, a judge appointed by George H. W. Bush who has allowed a Mexican illegal alien to stay in the country because of nonexistent homosexual persecution in Mexico, she also had an affair with a witness in a case she was presiding over, and even asked Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist to appoint her to a special judicial panel focused on the Holocaust that would have been a huge benefit for her bank account. And yes she is still a sitting judge.
