The deliberate destruction of American immigration law by the Obama Administration continues, as new figures show interior deportations are plummeting.
The Obama administration’s new program to work with local and state law enforcement on deportations has resulted in a dramatic decrease in interior immigration enforcement, government data reveals.

Detainer requests to local and state law enforcement are down across the board for aliens who have committed violent, drug, and sex crimes. The data comes from Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse which obtains government statistics through Freedom of Information Act requests. A detainer request is when Immigrations and Custom Enforcement (ICE) asks a state or local jail agency to hold an alien in custody so ICE is able to take them into custody.

ICE shifted from the Secure Communities program to the Priority Enforcement Program (PEP) in the beginning of Fiscal Year (FY) 2015. In FY 2014, ICE had 159,210 requests to local and state law enforcement agencies to detain non-citizens for up to 48 hours. That number dropped 41.3 percent to 95,085 in FY 2015...

Detainer requests during the Obama administration peaked with 309,697 in 2011. That same year there were about 225,000 interior deportations. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, ICE is on pace to complete 63,700 interior deportations in 2016.

As our own inside man Federale has chronicled, President Obama has accomplished a stealth amnesty by gutting immigration law enforcement. Now, even violent criminals who at any other time in history would have been swiftly deported are being allowed to stay or simply slipping through the cracks. This also has to be viewed in context with the Obama Administration's "Prison Break" legislation that it is pushing with the collaboration of Paul Ryan and the GOP leadership. The goal is a general abandonment of criminal justice in the name of racial egalitarianism and the demographic dispossession of European-Americans.

What's more, the abandonment of immigration law enforcement comes at a time when the American military is warning of serious security threats at our southern border.

The neoconservative Washington Free Beacon, generally not known for being immigration hawks, reports:

Sunni extremists are infiltrating the United States with the help of alien smugglers in South America and are crossing U.S. borders with ease, according to a U.S. South Command intelligence report.

The Command’s J-2 intelligence directorate reported recently in internal channels that “special interest aliens” are working with a known alien smuggling network in Latin America to reach the United States. The smuggling network was not identified...

[T]he Southcom intelligence report revealed that the threat of Islamist terror infiltration is no longer theoretical. “This makes the case for Trump’s wall,” said one American security official of the Southcom report. “These guys are doing whatever they want to get in the country.”

Adm. Kurt Tidd, Southcom’s commander, said last week that the lack of information is hampering security efforts against alien smuggling.

“An element that has been long recognized is that our ability to track people moving through transportation systems is an area that we must continue to devote efforts on, and the ease with which human traffickers are able to use our transportation systems to move people through the networks relatively undetected should give us all concern,” Tidd said. The President won't enforce immigration law. The President is working to weaken criminal penalties. The President refuses to secure our southern border even though there is a clear and immediate danger from terrorist groups.

At best, this is dereliction of duty. At worst, it's treason.
