They were wearing jackets and hooded sweatshirts. According to police, all were between 15 and 19 years old.

Bob Deming said he lived in the building for decades, and added he was shocked to hear about the attack.But Deming has nothing to be ashamed of here—he's a middle aged white guy. Suppose he had asked Jay Dow if he were ashamed? That would have been a racial incident.
”I’m ashamed as a citizen. People thought they could get away with it,” he said.
