Via Kathy Shaidle: A reminder from Mark Steyn that primitive man was in fact savage. (Based on Nicholas Wade's Before the Dawn.)

Also from Kathy Shaidle: This doesn't seem to be a joke Swedish big wig says:

"We must be open and tolerant towards Islam and Muslims because when we become a minority, they will be so towards us."

I hope no one tells Karl Rove about this theory, but maybe they already did. It seems to be the Republican party's Hispanic outreach strategy.

More here, here, and if you're legal Swedish immigrant, here.

From Russell Wardlow, more on Sweden, with a link to this video.

Also, Wardlow links to this cartoon, and invites you to play a few rounds of "Spot the Insane Assumptions About Nationhood."

I always play "Spot The Statue Of Liberty." You wouldn't expect to see her on the Mexican border, but she's there.

Finally, from Wardlow again, a masterly takedown of National Review on immigration.
