The killer of the "American Sniper" Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in a Texas court yesterday.
After over two hours of deliberation on Tuesday, a jury in Stephenville, Texas, found Eddie Ray Routh, 27, guilty of capital murder in the killings of legendary Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield. The jury, made up of 10 women and two men, unanimously rejected Routh’s insanity defense following the nearly two-week murder trial.[Jury Finds Eddie Ray Routh Guilty of Murder in Killings of 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle, Chad Littlefield, by Jason Howerton, The Blaze, February 24, 2015]
One of the more intriguing rumors about this case was that Routh's actions were not simply driven by PTSD but by a supposed conversion to Islam [Was Chris Kyle's killer a converted Muslim?,
