Re: James Fulford's post Houston “Nazi” Gunman Is An Indian Named Desai

An Inquiring Reader [Email him] The fact that this nutcase is an immigrant from India is relevant, but you failed to mention his faith... is he Hindu, Sikh, or Muslim? My money is on the Muslim possibility... it fits!

morarji_desai_-_wikipedia_the_free_encyclopedia_-_2016-09-27_12-04-26James Fulford writes: He isn't, as far as I know. Desai is very much a Hindu name (Morarji Desai, pictured right, was a famous Hindu Nationalist) and Desai's father is named Prakash, which is also Hindu. I assumed everyone knew that, and omitted the question. But it's a normal question—see Nathan DeSai Of Houston, Texas: Facebook ‘Muslim’ Lawyer Buzz, Photos Of Attorney Who Hurt 9, Inquistr, September 26, 2016.

There's also the question of whether Nathan Desai was an immigrant or of "immigrant stock" like Nikki Haley. I've decided that this doesn't matter much, since America would have very few people named Desai if it weren't for the Immigration Act of 1965.

Here's how the Indian ethnic press puts it

: Indian-origin lawyer shoots 9 in Houston, killed by police, By India New England News, September 27, 2016

New York–An Indian-origin lawyer with apparent Nazi sympathies went on an early morning rampage in Houston, Tex, shooting nine people on Monday before he was killed by police, according to authorities.

Nathan Desai was wearing military-style clothing with Nazi symbols during the 20-minute shooting spree when he fired at passing cars.

Police said that they did not know why Desai went on the rampage hitting people at random.

Desai’s name was written with the ‘s’ capitalised in media reports in Houston, making it sound European, [I.E. DeSai] but his father was identified as Prakash Desai. ... Houston Chronicle said that Prakash Desai is a retired geologist.

India New England News also includes in its story discussion of previous (Indian) Immigrant Mass Murders:
This is the second mass shooting by a person of Indian descent in the US.

In 2003, at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Biswanath Halder went on a rampage, taking hostages, killing a graduate student and wounding another and a professor.

A graduate of the university’s business school, he unsuccessfully sued a university administrator.

He was captured alive and sentenced to life after a trial.

Although it was not a mass shooting incident, in January 2016 Mainak Sarkar caused a lock down at University of California at Los Angeles when he killed a professor there. He had also killed his wife and committed suicide.

We covered the Biswanath Halder case here and here. But you see that the Indian immigrant press is doing work the American MSM won't do—reporting that the shooter was one of them, and mentioning similar immigrant crimes.
