Yesterday, Fareed Zakaria (on CNN) said that the Republican strategy for the election was to appeal to “angry white voters.” [Fareed Zakaria Panel Concedes GOP Winning by Fighting Amnesty, Not Courting Hispanic Voters, by Tony Lee,October 28, 2014]

I wrote and said that was an annoying comment, and that white people aren’t rioting and looting, but we have seen black rioting and looting recently.

And it’s threatened all the time, ALL the time. I have the impression that the elites see the Tea Party as the angry people, even though the Tea Party doesn’t do any rioting or looting or threatening violence.

Fareed and his guests clearly have little connection to reality, but no one who will bring them up short. That’s a big failing of the conservatives: they’ve been so cowardly in opposition to race baiting that now the media, pundits, Democrats say ridiculous things with no worry anyone will object.

By the end of the show, the guests were on a tear about the “Hispanic vote” and the only way these elite people can think about that one, too, is race-baiting. It won’t be good for Hispanics if they get stuck on grievance, just as it obviously hasn’t been good for blacks. But Fareed’s guests can’t see that?
