While American mainstream media frame the Gilroy Garlic Festival killer as a rabid “white-supremacist,” the Independent reports that Santino William Legan posted a white-hating caption on his Instagram account shortly before his rampage, asking: “Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white tw**s?  (A vulgar term equating white women with their sex organs.) [California gunman railed against garlic festival hours before mass shooting, Independent, June 30, 2019]

Doesn’t sound like a white supremacist to this white woman and, in fact, there are some (so far unsubstantiated) reports that his mother is Iranian.
