In July of 2020, a statue of Robert E Lee in Roanoke Virginia was knocked over by a 70-year-old man named William Clay Foreman. He claimed he did so to prevent possible civil unrest as city officials were in the midst of ongoing conversations to replace the statue.

Since then, the plaza which housed the statue, formerly known as Lee Plaza, has been renamed in honor of Henrietta Lacks, a black woman in 1951 who suffered from cervical cancer and was treated at Johns Hopkins hospital. While undergoing treatment, samples of cancer cells from Lacks were taken without her knowledge. Those cells were supposedly influential in medical breakthroughs, including the development of the Coronavirus vaccine.

In 2021, the family of Henrietta Lacks hired civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, dubbed “Black America’s attorney general”, and the same attorney who represented the families of Trayvon Martin, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor to name a few. The Lacks family claimed bio-medical company Thermo Fisher Scientific received unjust financial compensation through the use of Henrietta’s cells, what they’re calling a “racially targeted genetic injustice.” That lawsuit is ongoing.

Paul Kersey writes for VDARE.com:

Few stories sum up the past few years better than this one, where one of the greatest Americans who ever lived saw his statue torn down … only to be replaced by a black woman whose cells created a “vaccine” that did nothing to stop the spread of a virus which only impacted the health of those elderly individuals with comorbidities or who were overweight.
