His name is Elijah Wood, a white clerk shot dead by a Black college football player nearly a year ago at a RaceTrac gas station.

A year after the murder, Ahkil Nasir Crumpton was named the shooter.
Police were led to Crumpton when the same firearm used to murder Elijah Wood turned up in a homicide case in Philadelphia, Crumptons home town. Crumpton attended University of Georgia until 2021 and played wide receiver for the Bulldogs
