When I see a headline like Drudge's
Father accused of fatally shooting son because he was gay...
what I want to is "What kind of father?"  Black, white, Asian, Christian, Muslim...? The LA Times, which is where Drudge's link goes, doesn't seem eager to tell me.

Their headline is Neighbors said gay man shot by father had troubled history, by Matt Stevens and Cindy Carcamo, April 2, 2016.

However, in paragraph two, we learn the names of victim and killer:

On Friday, Shehada Khalil Issa, 69, of North Hills was charged with fatally shooting his son, Amir Issa, 29, outside the family’s home earlier this week because he was gay, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
Of course, this suggests that the family is Pakistani Muslim, and the killing was in response to the political and cultural habits of that backward area of the world.

The LA Times story hints that the son was a violent drug addict in addition to his sexual proclivities, and that also led to family friction, but in spite of the stuff about motive, it says nothing about religion, ethnicity, or nativity, beyond what we can deduce from their names.

A search on Shehada Khalil Issa's name shows most news sources calling him a Los Angeles Man, or a SoCal Man, or just a Man.

The Daily Mail, based on its internet research, has this headline, which does mention religion:

Christian father 'shot his son dead for being gay' and 'stabbed to death his wife' at their LA home

I'm not sure where they get the idea that he's Christian, but you can see that even the Daily Mail, which specializes in un-PC crime stories, would be unlikely to use the headline "Muslim father 'shot his son dead for being gay'".
