• The term “Historic American Nation” was first used on VDARE.com by Peter Brimelow, March 11, 2000 and has since been adopted by influencers and patriots across the media from Ann Coulter to Nick Fuentes. Pedro Gonzales of Chronicles Magazine recently referenced the Historic American Nation as a guest on The Charlie Kirk Show podcast. While Pedro is a worthy patriot, Charlie Kirk has made a career of knowing which way the wind blows. VDARE.com supporters should take heart in seeing that Kirk thinks the wind blows toward the Historic American Nation.

• War On Christmas: Peter Brimelow has been credited (in Snopes, for example, November 17, 2017) with popularizing this concept in the early 2000s, recognizing early that the replacement of traditional and authentic Christmas celebrations was a battle Politically Correct enforcers thought they could win. They were wrong, and this went all the way to the top, with President Trump himself weighing in in favor of Christmas.

• The term “Conservatism Inc.” Coined by James Kirkpatrick to sum up the current state of the alleged conservative movement, this concept, incubated at VDARE.com, has thoroughly taken off. A quick Google finds it referenced in mainstream article titles by Rod Dreher in the American Conservative, Ben Domenech at the Spectator and the Never Trump rag The Bulwark has an entire category in their index for the topic.

VDARE.com lit that fire, and the challenge it presents to the status quo cannot be snuffed out.

• J6 Defense, aka “The Capitol Insurrection Hoax”: VDARE was one of the first to publish in defense of the January 6 protestors. Shortly after our exclusive camera crew covered the January 6 protest at the nation’s capital, we released a stunning video pointing out a number of lies and inconsistencies in the corporate media coverage of, and Conservatism, Inc.’s response to, this genuinely Mostly Peaceful Protest. While the whole world condemned the grassroots Americans who assembled in support of election integrity and of their favored outgoing president, we published our video defending them. It was after us that Tucker Carlson produced his feature length documentary, Marjorie Taylor Greene and others took public stands in support of the J6 political prisoners and viewers the world over saw the truth at the ridiculous televised show trials in the congressional investigation.

• Intra-city or intra-state secession: Peter Brimelow noted the possibility that immigration-driven demographic change might provoke intra-U.S. secession in Alien Nation in 1995, and VDARE.com has been covering the trend since we began. That spark of an idea, the concept that splintering can and will happen, has lit up now in many parts of America. On the state level: “Greater Idaho,” “Vexit” (Virginia counties pressing to join West Virginia), Florida’s “Flexit,” Texas’ “Texit,” and in northeast California, the potential “State of Jefferson.”

Breaking up states is a good idea, but breaking up cities may be the first step, and VDARE.com is here for that too. In April, VDARE.com’s Jack Dalton covered the Buckhead-Atlanta rift. VDARE.com’s support of the split became a headline in Atlanta, where the Buckhead secession leader issued a groveling apology for retweeting our commentary.
