Don Lemon is black; he's not holding back on the President out of fear of being called racist, but out of racial loyalty.

State Senator Rod Wright is also black, and represents a California district that's 11 percent white.

Might this have something to do with the culture of corruption visible in the Democratic Party? It might. USA Today wrote in 2009 that "The challenge of dealing with minority officials who run afoul of the law is a pre-eminently Democratic problem..."
