On Sunday, we heard from the New York Times about how awesome it is that Toronto’s all-conquering Diverse New People are rejecting Canada’s traditional white-bread sport of hockey for basketball. On Monday, at a victory ceremony for its basketball franchise, Toronto got to enjoy its new vibrant American-style culture:

Toronto’s official motto, added to the new coat of arms adopted in 1998, is, from the wit and wisdom of Dan Quayle, “Diversity Our Strength.”
