Peter Brimelow: “Well, Did Spot It”
Print Friendly and PDF

Many thanks to the readers who have already helped us on our Christmas Fundraising Appeal—but now it has stalled, as often happens in the early stages.  Please help us now.

Two pieces of news show why is unique and irreplaceable:

  • Pollster Dick Morris, in his daily email bulletin, says “Now that all the data is in, the fundamental reason for Romney’s defeat is apparent, if largely unreported. It is not just that blacks, Latinos, and single women showed up in record numbers at the polls. It’s that whites didn’t…Why didn’t whites vote and why didn’t we all spot it sooner?”

Well, did spot it. Throughout the campaign, we documented Romney’s weakness among whites by analyzing at publically-available opinion poll data that no-one in the Main Stream Media was looking at; and we predicted a low white turn-out.

We also pointed to the solution: raising National Question issues like immigration that Americans really care about (see my discussion of Montana below).

  • A Wall Street Journal interview with megadonor Sheldon Adelson reveals that he favors amnesty. has been documenting signs that Adelson was an immigration enthusiast: this is the smoking gun.

Yet this man has almost unprecedented power over the only political party from which patriotic immigration reform can come. We noted that Mitt Romney dropped the illegal immigration issue exactly as Adelson began giving to him.

We think this phenomenon is so important will open to publish an article on it this weekend—even though we know opening the site can derail our fundraising appeals. But no-one else will do it.

Megadonors have the money, but remember: politicians know they also need votes.

The antidote to Adelson is an informed and enraged grassroots.’s strategy is to provide the necessary facts and analysis. But we can only do that with your help. Please give now!
