Journalist turned immigration activist Jose Antonio Vargas was arrested Friday in Minnesota for driving without a valid license. The offense typically leads to a citation, rather than an arrest, reports Beth Hawkins for MinnPost, so it’s unclear why Vargas was arrested.
Maybe because he's nationally known?
Maybe because he's confessed publically, in the pages of the New York Times, to using false documents? This is not a man who forgot his wallet.
If you've forgotten who Vargas is, see my article: Illegal Alien Poster Boy Jose Antonio Vargas—Lawbreaker, Liar, Displacer of American Workers, Treason Lobbyist, Thief.

His own story was published in the New York Times as My Life as an Undocumented Immigrant, By Jose Antonio Vargas, June 22, 2011.
