Were the United States truly a nation dominated by white privilege, systemic inequality, implicit bias, and all of the claims made by the insidiously anti-white Critical Race Theory (CRT), we’d all know today is the fifth anniversary of the Black Lives Matter ambush in Dallas.

What happened again? Twelve white officers were shot by a black radical, with five white officers murdered:

The suspect who was killed told a police negotiator that he was upset about the Black Lives Matter movement and the recent shootings of black men by police officers. “The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers,” said Dallas police chief David Brown. The suspect said he was “not affiliated with any groups and he stated that he did this alone.”

But we are not a nation dominated by white privilege, but one entirely fueled by black privilege. Notice the word “white” is not mentioned once in this story from NBC Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate. Notice the story uses the language “peaceful evening Black Lives Matter protest,” where 12 police officers were shot and five were killed in an anti-white attack we aren’t supposed to remember.

Dallas Honors 5 Fallen Officers “Unafraid of Darkness” on 5th Anniversary of Police Ambush: The fifth anniversary will be marked with ceremonies in honor of Lorne Ahrens, Michael Krol, Michael J. Smith, Brent Thompson, and Patrick Zamarripa, NBCDFW.com, July 7, 2021

What to Know

  • Five officers were shot and killed in an ambush attack on July 7, 2016. Nine other officers and two civilians were also injured.
  • The shooting was the deadliest incident for U.S. law enforcement since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
  • A memorial honoring the fallen officers now stands at the Jack Evans Police Headquarters.

Wednesday, North Texas will pause to remember the five police officers killed in an ambush in downtown Dallas.

On July 7, 2016, a gunman opened fire at a peaceful evening Black Lives Matter protest killing four Dallas Police officers and a Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer— several others were injured.

A tense hours-long standoff ended with police detonating an explosive device, killing the suspect.

The fifth anniversary will be marked with ceremonies in honor of the fallen—Dallas police Sgt. Michael Smith, 55; Senior Cpl. Lorne Ahrens, 48; Officer Michael Krol, 40; Officer Patrick Zamarripa, 32 and Brent Thompson, 43, a Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer.

At 10 a.m. officers marched from Griffin Street and Young Street to the Police Memorial on Akard Street where a ceremony was held to remember the fallen officers.

“I understand that there’s a hole in your heart that’s never going to be filled and for that my heart goes out to each and every one of you,” said Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia. “But please know this, that your husband, your son, your brother, your dad, died a hero because he was unafraid of the darkness.”

The ceremony included a performance by the Dallas Police Choir, the reading of the “Roll Call of Honor,” a 21-gun salute, Taps, and a flyover by the Dallas Police Helicopter.

Assistant lead chaplain for DPD Mike Middlebrooks was among the first to comfort affected families at both Parkland and Baylor Hospitals.

“Brutal, emotional night. That was the first of five for the entire night,” he said. “When I showed up I said: God, this is bigger than me so I need your help.”

NBC 5 asked Garcia what changes have been made and what changes he would like to make in order to try and avoid another such tragedy, the chief responded:

“To avoid another 7/7, I’m not quite sure how you can reason with evil,” said Garcia. “You saw officers running to save and protect the protestors. If that’s not a powerful image of that day, I don’t know what is. We’ll continue to work hard for our community.”

The ceremony in front of the Dallas memorial for fallen officers also paid tribute to all 88 officers who died in the line of duty in the city, from 1892 to 2021.

At 7 p.m. there will be a candlelight vigil and balloon release at Dallas City Hall.

“I pray that the good Lord provides peace and comfort to the families of the brave, courageous fallen,” former Dallas Police Chief David. O. Brown said in a statement.

The Omni Dallas Hotel is displaying a “Dallas Strong” message along with the names and badge numbers of the fallen officers.

A year after George Floyd became more important than the Founding Fathers, how on earth did you think we’d ever be able to remember the five white police officers murdered by a black radical in Dallas on July 7, 2016?

God help us all.
