Since fiscal 2023 began on October 1, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz tweeted, agents on the southwest border have collared 3,043 illegal-alien criminals, including 10 killers and 73 sex perverts.

“Keeping dangerous people out of our communities is a priority!” he bragged.

Maybe that’s Ortiz’s priority. But it’s not Traitor Joe Biden’s. Or that of his Homeland Security chief, Alejandro Mayorkas.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement released 564 illegal-alien criminals in January: 250 convicted, and 314 with pending charges. As VDARE reported in December, those figures do not include “immigration violators.”

Add those to the 3,855 ICE has released since October 1. Total: 4,419

In other words, during the past four months, ICE released more criminals than border agents arrested.

One is tempted to say the left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing, as the old saw goes. But in this case, both hands know exactly what they’re doing… on orders from the traitors running our country.
