In the military, in law enforcement, and above all in border protection, those who rule the State are at war not just with those they govern, but with those whom they expect to carry out their orders.

Soldiers fight abroad and return home to find they are the new internal enemy [Why America's vets are turning to extremism after the militaryby Cynthia Miller-Idriss, MSNBCOctober 17, 2021].

Police try to control crime and find that the politicians are eager to sacrifice them to the criminals [Rantz: After defunding and demonizing police, Seattle council blames chief for mass exodusby Jason Rantz, 770 KTTH, August 11, 2021].

The brave men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement must face threats from south of the border and arguably more dangerous threats from Washington, D.C. Who can forget President Joe Biden condemning his own Border Patrol agents for trying to control a border crisis that he started?

This isn't new. In my conversation with Andrew Morrison, author of East Into The Sunset: Memories of Patrolling in the Rio Grande Valley at the Turn of the Century, I was struck that the deliberate sabotage of American law enforcement wasn't even hobbled by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It meant nothing to those who govern us. The program of dissolving America simply continued.

Now, the new head of Customs and Border Protection seems determined to continue to crush the spirit of an already devastated force.

Border Patrol agents already struggling with low morale were devastated after the Senate confirmed President Biden's controversial nominee for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) commissioner.

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed Chris Magnus, formerly the police chief in Tuscon, Arizona, despite numerous controversies surrounding Magnus' nomination, including his support for sanctuary cities. Maine Sen. Susan Collins was the lone Republican to vote for Magnus' confirmation.

Magnus "is pretty much hated, especially by those of us in the Tucson Sector since we know him," one border agent told Fox News. "Somehow he has made a career off of hating law enforcement. He destroyed TPD [Tucson Police Department] and will do the same to CBP as a whole."

I find myself pondering the real meaning of the "Back the Blue" flags that you see flying from ordinary Americans homes, cars and trucks. It certainly doesn't mean backing for the Regime or those in power as such. I think grassroots conservatives, patriots, and nationalists are beginning to understand what Sam Francis was trying to warn them about all those years ago with the concept of anarcho-tyranny. Those who support the nation and keep it going are viciously persecuted by the State. Those who feed off the nation, subvert it, and exist as parasites are subsidized by the system.

I think many Americans sense this. At the risk of mind-reading, I think that's what really lies behind the "Back the Blue" phenomenon. There's simply no vocabulary or symbolism that can capture the anger of those who want to be patriots, want to defend their country, and want to uphold a just society, but instead find themselves labeled as criminals or public enemies by the Regime Press. That could be why the symbolism that tries to express defiance against the Regime is so incoherent [Flags of Opposition: Why the American Flag Isn't Enoughby Gregory Hood, American Renaissance, November 3, 2020]. Either that, or it's just purely oppositional to one man, Joe Biden, who I don't think any of us really thinks is in charge. (Hence "Let's Go Brandon.")

My message to ordinary soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, guardsmen, guardians, policemen, and especially Border Patrol agents is simple—reach out to us. Let us serve as your samizdatLet us know what is happening within these organizations. The true legitimacy of the nation lies in you, not in those who are put in power over you to deliberately make you less effective.

As for the rest of us, all of us need to stand in solidarity with those in immigration law enforcement and with their union. They have been given an impossible task and they are being set up to fail. In a real country, they would be honored as the heroes they are. In the Bizarro America that we live under today, it seems that the Regime is on the side of the invaders.
