Immigration hardliners are doing better than than libertarians or the gun lobby—in Texas.

The winner of TX4 House runoff, John Ratcliffe, touted self-deportation.  [Ratcliffe: Undocumented immigrants would “self deport” if jail time was on the table, By Nick Swartsell, Dallasnews.com, March 19, 2014 ]

Attorney General candidate Ken Paxton hit Dan Branch on driving privileges for illegals and won.

Lieutenant Governor candidate Dan Patrick hit 3 of his opponents (Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson and Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples) on tuition for illegals and supporting a guest worker plan without full employment and an unsecured border. Not an ideal position, but better than any candidate out there. The NRA-PVF endorsed Dewhurst and Ron Paul endorsed Jerry Patterson.

Watch on YouTube here. From 10 minutes to 15 minutes. they address the immigration issue. Any candidate like Todd Staples who talks about what happens once you've secured the border is delusional with Obama, Bush or Clinton in office.

Dan Patrick outperformed Cornyn (2014), Cruz(2012), and Rick Perry (2010. )

Having not made it to the 27 May runoff, Jerry Patterson called the House GOP nativists.
