Re: James Fulford’s article MSM/ GOP Establishment Point-And-Splutter Attack On CA’s Tim Donnelly Shows Disconnect With Normal Americans (And Second Amendment).

An Anonymous Lawyer Somewhere In America [Email him]

I chuckled at James Fulford's VDARE.com article describing how many Americans take guns accidentally into no carry areas.

It happened to me some years ago. I’m a criminal defense attorney in [America] and I was in trial at the courthouse and had left my satchel in the car. I was in a hurry, ran out and got the back and returned through the medical detectors when the screener called out Code 5 and alerted the sheriff’s deputies on duty. It was a sudden “oh crap” on my part.

I had had my regular car in for repairs and had transferred my carry pistol to the rental car. When I turned the rental car back in I had thrown it into my satchel intending to put it back in my own vehicle but forgot. Luckily all I had to do was show them my CHL license, they told me to go put it back in the car and everything was cool.

So it can and does happen!

James Fulford writes: The reader is lucky to have encountered a sensible deputy, which is more likely to happen somewherein Americaland, where he lives, rather than in New York or Chicago, where they go in for Zero Tolerance. I made a speech once, which we published as  Gun Control—Like Immigration Law, Enforced Only Against Those Who Obey It, the point of which is that it's much easier to enforce the law against people like him than against actual criminals, because for one thing, the NAACP will protest searching for actual criminals, whereas no one seems to care what happens to a law-abiding white gun owner.
