With the post-Coronavirus American Renaissance conference coming up, I’ve been remembering the past ones. Peter Brimelow’s speech at the 2017 AmRen conference was superb. From time to time, I still think about his truly epic double fake-out here:
There are somewhere between 12 to 20 million illegal Russian immigrants in the country. The Russians have a score of consulates supporting them. The Russian government has actually paid for a cell phone app to help these Russian illegals if they are picked up by ICE. Furthermore, Russia has changed its citizenship law. It’s openly calling on its legal immigrants here to be a Fifth Column acting in Russia’s interest. They can be both Russian citizens and American citizens. A Russian president, a few years ago, spoke to them and said, “You’re Russians who live the in US.”
Oh, wait a minute. I got that wrong.
It’s not Russia. it’s Israel!—I mean, Mexico!
I remember wondering what he was getting on about at first, then realizing the joke, then busting out laughing at the naming of Israel before Mexico. Great stuff, really.
James Fulford writes: I'm happy to hear that American Renaissance is coming back in November. The announcement is here, and while registration isn't open yet (the conference is from November 12 to 14, 2021) and if you registered for the cancelled-by-the-China-Virus conference and didn't ask for a refund, you're automatically registered for this one:
This will be our ninth conference at Montgomery Bell; the pandemic prevented us from meeting last year. We hope that by November travel and “social distancing” restrictions will have eased.
We’re still lining up speakers, but we already have commitments from several stalwarts:
- VDARE.com editor Peter Brimelow
- Taki’s Magazine columnist and former GOP operative David Cole
- Lawyer and longtime white advocate Sam Dickson
- Professor and YouTuber Edward Dutton
- Political journalist host of The Red Elephants video channel Vincent James
- And of course — American Renaissance editor Jared Taylor
We are not opening registration for a few more weeks, but please mark your calendars. We’ll update the ad on our sidebar when registration opens, and we’ll post another announcement.
