As long as we can import high tech workers and TAs to teach the more demanding university courses, there is no real incentive to improve our own abysmal public school education. IAs much as I hate to say it, I guess it's just cheaper and easier to go the importation route.

 

VDARE replies:  Only because the employers are socializing their costs - making their students pay in the form of inferior education, and the taxpayers pay in the form of health, education and other transfer payments to the immigrant TA, his family and future immigrant relatives. Similarly, there's an argument that slavery was economic because the slaveholders were able to socialize their policing costs in the form of the citizen-staffed slave patrol.  Hmmm!
