The Regime Media put a positive spin on the May Jobs Report.

But as usual, there was no mention of the immigration dimension.

Of the 390,000 net jobs added in May, and reported by the Payroll Survey, immigrants (both legal and illegal) took almost half—some 46%---of new jobs.

And the collapse of the southern border is now showing up in the data.

This surge in the immigrant workforce is truly extraordinary: an increase of 2.36 million over the past 12 months. This is the largest gain year-over-year in the past 15 years.

Not surprisingly—the immigrant share of U.S. employment has now reached an all-time high, with immigrants now holding 18.09% of American jobs.

In May:

Immigrants (legal and illegal) gained 148,000 jobs, a 0.5% increase from April and almost half (46%) the net job gain.

Native-born Americans gained 173,000 positions, a 0.1% rise from April.

Thus VDARE.com’s immigrant employment index, set at 100.0 in January 2009, rose to 132.4 from 131.7 in April, a 0.5% increase.

Likewise, our native-born employment American index rose to 107.6 from 107.5, a 0.1% increase.

So the New VDARE American Worker Displacement Index, our name for the ratio of the immigrant to native-born employment growth indexes since January 2009, rose to a record 123.0 in May from 122.9 in April, a gain of 0.1%.

But despite these record breaking numbers, we’re all supposed to believe that the Great Replacement is just a white nationalist conspiracy theory.
