Best white North American basketball players come from the sticks. It doesn’t seem to do white hoopsters much good to go through adolescence in black-dominated basketball cultures.
Cooper Flagg, the top high school prospect, is a 6’8″ white guy from the middle of Maine, a small town outside of Bangor. After a fine HS freshman year, he transferred to a Florida private school that specializes in foreign basketball players like Cameroon’s Joel Embiid.
