Many reports of a shooting in San Bernardino but no race reported. [San Bernardino police seek public's help in shooting that injured eight, By Harriet Ryan and Francine Orr, LA Times, September 3, 2018]

A shooting occurred in the city of San Bernardino, California, on Saturday night. Eight people were injured, two of them critically. Various reports say the violence happened in a common area of an apartment complex where a dice game was going on.

San Bernardino is 15 percent black and 60 percent Hispanic but the media gives no information about the race or ethnicity of the victims nor of the likely race or ethnicity of the perpetrators. 

Reports also state that there is lots of gang activity in the area and the crime may be gang related. Victims and witnesses are not talking but surely the police know which gangs operate in the area. Race? Ethnicity? 

The police say they want the public's help in finding the shooters but without any information to work with that is pretty hard.
