LA TIMES Corrects Thomas Main's Error On Virginia Dare

Thomas J. Main [Email him] is a professor at Baruch College in New York, and wrote recently about us and other Alt Right types in the LA Times: The dead-tree version of the LA Times said that VDARE.com was "named after Virginia Dare, the the first white child born in America" (as you can see in PressReader.com, or if you're actually in LA, using the dead-tree  Times to make papier-mâché or something.)

The online version now says "named after Virginia Dare, the first British child born in America" with the correction below.

That was the result of several emails on the subject—we've been making this point for years. (Snorri Thorfinnsson was born in about 1000, but the Vikings didn't found America.)
