The statistics are right there, if you just know where to look. Florida is a 53 percent white state. Its population is 16 percent black.

The 2018 Florida Uniform Crime Report provides an interesting look at violent crime in the 53 percent white state:

  • There were 712 known homicide offenders in 2018, with 388 of those offenders being black.
  • This means 54 percent of known homicide offenders in the 16 percent black state of Florida in 2018 were black.

Though blacks are just 19 percent of the population, they represented 54 percent of the arrests for homicide in the state of Florida in 2018.

It should be noted Hispanics are lumped in with whites in the Florida Uniform Crime Report.

Per capita…

Despite being…

It should also be noted the publication here of the 2018 Florida Uniform Crime Report racial demographics for homicide represents the first time this data has been published by any news site or webzine. Not one newspaper or local ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX affiliate published this data in the state of Florida.

Racial disparities exist in the criminal justice system throughout the United States of America because blacks disproportionately commit the bulk of violent crime, necessitating not just imprisonment, but the forfeiture of their franchise.
