The Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the terror-financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation in Dallas. Yet the credulous liberal press cannot resist quoting CAIR at every opportunity, such as when CAIR mounted an extensive campaign condemning the recent Homeland Security Committee hearing chaired by Peter King. The continuing noisy propaganda from CAIR trying to create a narrative in Muslim victimhood distracts from that tribe's irresponsibility in dealing with the evil within.

On Wednesday, FBI Director Robert Mueller testified before the House Judiciary Committee in an oversight hearing [Statement], and Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) quizzed him thoroughly on the FBI's excessively sensitive outreach effort to Muslims through CAIR. The FBI finally wised up that they were being suckered and ended the relationship, albeit slowly in public.

Mueller eventually stated in the hearing, "We have no formal relationship with CAIR because of concerns with regard to the national leadership." That's a polite way of saying the current leaders are just as dirty as the old bunch, several of whom were imprisoned on terror charges.
