“Michael Slager (left) stands as one of his attorneys, Cameron Blazer, guides him toward the podium on Friday before the former North Charleston police officer spoke in circuit court for the first time. Leroy Burnell/Staff”
N.S.: The date in the foregoing caption doesn’t sound right. Slager was bonded out on January 4th, which was a Monday. “Friday” would refer either to New Year’s Day, or today.
I thank the North Charleston reader who alerted me to the arson attack.
