It would be nice if someone wrote a little about Title Eight of the US Code [Section 1324. Bringing in and harboring certain aliens ]and exactly what is said. Under the law, which is by now completely ignored, the penalties for helping illegals in this country are severe. Yet the DNC is going to parade them around. I presume this constitutes aiding them with hotels, money, etc., and these are criminal offenses.
You will also see that it gives local authorities the authority to arrest people participating in these activities, in the same way that local police could arrest drug smugglers violating federal laws.

(a) Criminal penalties(1)(A) Any person who -
(ii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, transports, or moves or attempts to transport or move such alien within the United States by means of transportation or otherwise, in furtherance of such violation of law;May…be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both;
(c) Authority to arrest
No officer or person shall have authority to make any arrests for a violation of any provision of this section except officers and employees of the Service designated by the Attorney General, either individually or as a member of a class, and all other officers whose duty it is to enforce criminal laws.
James Fulford writes: For all the arguing back and forth about local authorities enforcing the Immigration Laws, in the case of the Federal Alien Smuggling Statute, Congress seems to have deliberately and intentionally made it possible for local police to arrest people who transport illegals—like the “DREAMers” and their relatives the DNC is planning to parade on stage in Philadelphia.
