Another even more pointed comparison of cost of building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border is this: the new Presidential Marine One helicopter fleet, totaling 23 VH-71 aircraft, will cost $6.1 billion.

In other words, the Congress is willing to appropriate almost double the cost of a border wall (estimated by Rubenstein to be $3.3 billion) to protect one man and, of course, his entourage of sycophants.

But the cost of shielding the country from a literal invasion of illegal aliens is characterized as too much of an expensive and burdensome.

The writer, an engineer, moved to California from Utah where, he recalls, "Once people called Mormons lived in the state."
