When will environmental determinists and science deniers finally admit that they’ve lost the argument? The evidence that there are black-white differences in IQ and that these are partly genetic in origin is overwhelming. A significant contribution has been made by Richard Lynn, who has been published on VDARE.com. Nevertheless, a race-denial article published late last year purporting to prove that there are no black-white differences in IQ has recently had fifteen seconds of fame on Twitter [A Troublesome Intelligence?, by Chanda Chisala, Unz Review, September 26, 2018]. According to its author, a Zambian businessman and journalist, “we did not need to look further than Richard Lynn’s own multiracial home of Britain to find the falsification that he proposed for the racial genetic hypothesis.” But to reach this conclusion, Chisala [Tweet him] has manipulated and misrepresented his data.

Chisala (right) explains that: “. . . black African kids in the UK [i.e. immigrants from Africa] appeared to be at worst only about 8 IQ points below white children (instead of at least 20 to 30 points expected by racial IQ hereditarians).”

He adds:

English-speaking African countries to the UK were actually already outperforming the British whites . . .When broken down into different African nationalities, it becomes clear that even the relatively small 8 IQ point racial gap observed in favor of British whites does not exist. The Black-White performance gap is completely eradicated, and in fact appears somewhat reversed, when you just look at children from African countries that speak some English.

Now, on the surface, this does present problems for Richard Lynn’s hypothesis that black-white differences are significantly genetic. One can imagine talking about race differences in IQ and some woke friend interjecting, “Ah . . . but have you read Chisala’s devastating refutation of these in The Unz Review?”

But there are serious problems with Chisala’s argument:

  • Firstly, nobody would expect the IQ of African children raised, or partly raised in Britain to be 70, even if the Africans that migrated were intellectually average.

The sabotage of the Trump Administration immigration enforcement strategy by the Deep State continues, but what is deeply disturbing is that legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) executives in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are aiding the campaign to take a hands-off approach to immigration enforcement. Two stories show how sordid is campaign to sabotage immigration en...

When you go for medical treatment, would you prefer your doctors be well-trained in medical knowledge and skills, or well-indoctrinated in today's "Social Justice" doctrines? According to an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal by Stanley Goldfarb, there is a growing emphasis on politically correct social justice doctrine in today's medical schools.    That's troubling but not surprising.  Name...

Is the Great American Job Machine running out of gas? The U.S. added 130,000 new payroll jobs last month, down from an average 173,000 over the past 12 months. Wall Street had been expecting a gain of 160,000 according to Bloomberg. The Main Stream Media saw this as damage from Trump’s intensifying trade war with China as well as a slowing global economy.[Hiring Slowed in August, but Wage Gains Accelerated, By Nelson D. Schwartz, NYT, September 6, 2019]

But employment data in the “other” employment survey was far more encouraging. A whopping 590,000 new jobs were created in August, according to the Household Survey. That was nearly twice the growth reported in July. (Month to month changes in the household survey are capricious. The problem: it is a fairly small survey: 60,000 households surveyed in a labor force of 130 million households. BLS says the statistical confidence interval for the survey is 500,000 jobs, meaning that for any given month the “true” job growth may be half a million jobs on either side of the reported job figure. So statistically speaking, August’s robust household job growth may be identical to July’s anemic growth. Over time the statistical noise gets washed out. The long-term displacement trend is stable.)

From VDARE.com’s immigration-focused viewpoint, one that is still almost unreflected in the MSM, there was some bad news: August marked the end of the remarkable three-month stretch during which native-born Americans gained jobs while immigrants lost them—a notable reversal of the long-run trend: Native-born American workers lost ground to their foreign-born competitors throughout the Obama years; this accelerated significantly in the months leading up to the 2016 election.

See, earlier, The Fulford File, By James Fulford | Disparate Impact: Legal And Political

A ripple of horror ran through the excruciatingly PC-compliant government of Baltimore County, Maryland last week after President Trump’s Justice Department filed a suit against the county for racial discrimination in the police department. Council member Wade Kach (R) [Email him] professed to be “rather shocked” and called for further investigation. Julian Jones (D), [Email him] the only black on the council, was “taken aback.”

How could such nice, well-meaning people have allowed such a terrible thing as “discrimination” to happen on their watch?

Or rather, as anyone paying attention to the Disparate Impact racket is bound to wonder, how could they not?

Case after case across the U.S. has shown that any test more rigorous than a coin toss will produce the following result:

  • Whites do better than “Hispanics”,
  • who do better than blacks.

But our legal system has adopted an iron-bound rule that, if a protected minority is underrepresented by more than 20% relative to the local population, that datum alone is ipso facto proof of discrimination, regardless of the purity of the motives of the employer. (See Steve Sailer’s Questioning Ricci: Time To Abandon The EEOC's Four-Fifths Rule, written over ten years ago now.)

The unfortunate business or municipal government that fails to meet this statistical standard must bear the legal burden of proving its own innocence against the infinite prosecutorial resources of the federal government.

The sudden and bitter departure of John Bolton from the White House was baked in the cake from the day he arrived there. For Bolton's worldview, formed and fixed in a Cold War that ended in 1991, was irreconcilable with the policies Donald Trump promised in his 2016 campaign. Indeed, Trump was elected because he offered a foreign policy that represented a repudiation of what John Bolton had advocat...

https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51KXAYkloiL.jpgThe left has the luxury of having lost the argument on crime for the past few decades and, as a consequence, the electorate has no recollection of the living nightmare produced by Great Liberal Ideas About Crime.

Brooklyn hipsters blithely go about their business, completely unaware that their trendy neighborhoods were war zones in the 1970s, 1980s—and well into the 1990s. Walking those streets meant you were taking your life into your hands.

Thanks to Republicans’ aggressive law-and-order policies, today, most U.S. cities are astonishingly safe. Crime is at its lowest level in decades. Life is possible again!

But Joe Biden, the leading Democratic candidate for president, is said to be hurt by the fact that, as The New York Times puts it, “he championed the 1994 crime bill that many experts now associate with mass incarceration.”

Point One: What’s the matter with “mass incarceration”?

Are we supposed to stop incarcerating people who commit crimes? Is that the argument? If there are hundreds of innocent people in prison, why do liberals keep giving us the fake sob stories—the cases they lie about, forcing me to look up the facts, as illustrated in several of my recent columns?
