Earlier, by Washington Watcher II: WuFlu Brings Anarcho-Tyranny To America

LiveStream with Michelle Malkin and Peter Brimelow here at 3:00 PM Eastern, Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

This week in Colorado, our statewide stay-at-home order was extended until April 26. Gov. Jared Polis urged everyone to wear a mask of any kind while outdoors. Local groceries are limiting customers to one every 120 square feet of the store. For the first time, my neighborhood playground on Tuesday was wrapped in bright yellow "CAUTION" tape. And in Brighton, Colorado, a father was handcuffed in an empty park by three police officers for playing T-ball with his 6-year-old daughter and wife.

We are not a serious country. America's "social distancing" campaign has gone both too far and not far enough. The restrictions and guidelines are arbitrary, irrational and unevenly applied.

Thanks to the Chinese Virus, you can be arrested for leaving your home or traveling for “non-essential purposes.” Failure to “social distance” can mean jail-time as well. Yet the same politicians and judges who propose and enforce such measures have freed thousands of criminals from jails in case they contract the deadly Asian pathogen. The Anarcho-Tyranny so brilliantly described by the late Sam Francis is here.

President Trump’s job? Resist with everything he has.

Unsurprisingly, the Kritarchs are using the pandemic to bend the law. Last week, Obama-appointed Judge James E. Boasberg of U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement to prove that conditions in three family detention centers were sanitary. Failing that, he will free 1,350 illegals [U.S. judge widens order, urging ICE to release migrant families with young children in coronavirus outbreak, by Spencer Hsu, The Washington Post, March 30, 2020]. Boasberg’s move fortifies an order from benchmate Dolly Gee, a notorious Kritarch who routinely sides with illegals. She made detained minors eligible for release.

New Mexico was taken over by Mexicans in the last gubernatorial election. The Governor and Lieutenant Governor are for all intents and purposes Mexicans acting in the interests of Mexicans and Mexico. WuFlu is spreading, with Mexico recording more than 2,000 cases and nearly 100 deaths. But there’s a silver lining: the border with Mexico is effectively closed to illegal aliens. Border agents are deporting them immediately, and even better, the borders in Mexico and the Northern Triangle are locked down. Granted, “migrants” are held up in Mexico and we must suffer a farrago of sob stories. Yet SARS-CoV-2 proves that we can control our bordersif we want to.

The change at our southwest frontier, thanks to President Trump’s order of March 17 to deport illegals immediately (and no asylum claims either), is nearly miraculous.

Illegals “are being expelled to Mexico in an average of 96 minutes under emergency coronavirus measures now in force across the U.S. southern border” The Washington Post reports [Under coronavirus immigration measures, U.S. is expelling border-crossers to Mexico in an average of 96 minutes, by Nick Miroff, March 30, 2020].

Among the works that first brought Henry Kissinger to academic acclaim was "A World Restored," his 1950s book about how the greatest diplomats of Europe met at the Congress of Vienna to restore order to a continent shattered by the Napoleonic Wars.

The balance-of-power peace these men achieved lasted—with the significant exception of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871—for the full century, from 1815 to 1914.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal Friday, Kissinger declared that it is now an imperative that the world's leaders, even as they deal with the raging pandemic, begin to make the "transition to the post-coronavirus order."

"Failure to do so could set the world on fire."

Yet, the ingredients Kissinger considers essential for establishing that new world order appear, like ventilators, to be in short supply.

"Sustaining public trust," asserts Kissinger, "is crucial ... to international peace and stability."

But how do we trust again our adversary China, after its criminal cover-up of the menace and magnitude of the virus unleashed in Wuhan?

How do we trust again this regime that was, until recently, blaming the coronavirus on U.S. Army troops visiting Wuhan?

It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good, and the coronavirus panic has some winners. The stock of Zoom video-conferencing software has been soaring, notwithstanding some bad publicity about its security features, or lack of them.

Less well-publicized has been the bonanza for lawyers, with laid-off workers suing employers, businesses suing insurers, jailbirds and illegal aliens in detention suing to be released, travel firms, cruise lines, and airlines being sued by disgruntled vacationers, and so on. Do lawyers ever come badly out of anything?

Longer-term, out here on the Dissident Right, there's been a vein of commentary to the effect that this is all going to work out well for the causes we care about. A key text here is Greg Johnson's March 18th post at Counter-Currents, title "How Coronavirus Will Change the World." It doesn't summarize easily, but I'll read off Greg's main headings. Each one identifies a fact that, according to Greg, will be made more obvious by the current crisis and its aftermath.

Globalism is bad.

Democracy is bad. If that made you jump, I'm going to give Greg the benefit of the doubt and assume he's in the Winston Churchill camp here: Democracy's bad, but not as bad as the alternatives. More on this in just a minute.

Global "free trade" is bad.

Liberalism is bad

Diversity, multiculturalism, open borders, & anti-racism are bad.

Conservatism is bad.[Links added]

By "Conservatism" in that last one Greg means what we at VDARE.com call "Conservatism, Inc."
