A week ago, President Trump told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham that American companies need more foreign workers. The remark not only concerned and even infuriated immigration patriots but also contravened the Administration’s crackdown on H-1B visas and tightened immigration rules. In other words, in practice, the Trump Administration puts America first. But rhetorically, Trump sounds like Jeb Bush. It’s time to resolve this cognitive dissonance. If Trump is to succeed in November, he must remember promises he ran on four years ago and quit appealing to corporations who hate him.

As for the talk with Ingraham, make no mistake: Trump was disappointing. “We don’t have a tight labor market,” she insisted, refuting his claim. “If we had a tight labor market, we would be seeing real increases in wages” [In Immigration Debate, Trump Says We Don’t Have Enough American Workers to Fill Skilled Labor Jobs, by Neil Munro, Breitbart, January 12, 2020].

But Trump disagreed. Businesses tell him they need him they need more workers, and so it’s “America First” to reward college-educated foreigners with American jobs. “We have to allow smart people to stay in our country—if you graduate number one in your class at Harvard, [if] you graduate from the Wharton School of Finance,” Trump said. “If we tell smart people to get the hell out, that’s not America first.”

To her great credit, Ingraham mockingly said that claim violated his America First campaign pledge.

The first wave of advanced baseball statistics analytics coincided with the Steroids Era, which the ambitious sabermetricians were curiously unable to detect despite their statistical sophistication. The ethnonationalist YouTuber Way of the World posted a New Year’s video, The Unstoppable Rise of Nationalism, with a stark warning to the radical Left and its Antifa goon squads: “Nationalism is rising, and there’s nothing they can do to stop it.” The video is generic and doesn’t mention Scandinavia. But nationalism is indeed rising there—despite the fact that the international Main Stream Media prefers to focus the appointment of woke millennial female Sanna Marin, 34, (rated by John Derbyshire as contender for "hottest female national leader so far this century" ) raised by two lesbians, as prime minister of Finland [How will millennial leaders change the world? Finland will give us a clue, By Tulikukka de Fresnes, Guardian, December 11, 2019].

Finland’s December leadership election in the coalition-leading Social Democrats not only put Marin, right,  in charge but also resulted in a gynocracy—a majority-woman cabinet. Four are younger than 35, including Marin [Finland’s Sanna Marin becomes the world's youngest serving prime minister and prepares to lead the country with a new, female-majority cabinet, By Chris Dyer, Mail Online, December 10, 2019].

But the MSM excitement overlooks some important facts. In the Finnish parliamentary elections on April 14, the winning Social Democrats took 40 seats and 17.7 percent of the vote in the 200-seat Eduskunta—but the nationalist Finns Party, led by Dr. Jussi Halla-Aho, a certified WrongThinker [Supreme Court orders Halla-aho to pay for hate speech, YLE, June 8, 2012], achieved 39 seats and 17.48 percent of the vote.

And Finns Party came very close to winning another seat in the northern city of Oulu, which sits on the Gulf of Bothnia about 378 miles north of Helsinki. Revelations about Muslim grooming gangs shook the city in December 2018, as explored in a recent book The Silent Rape Epidemic: How the Finns Were Groomed to Love Their Abusers. If Junes Lokka, the independent nationalist councillor who uncovered this scandal, hadn’t stood for election there, then the Finns Party might have taken an extra seat and the entire election.

No sane person is holding their breath for the resurgence of flapper skirts or a Harlem Renaissance redux now that the globe’s hit the Roaring 20s 2.0, but there is one movement from America’s 1920s that her 2020s would do well to imitate: An immigration moratorium. Despite what the ‘diversity is our strength’ Democrats and the ‘send us your cartels’ Statue of Liberty might say, America actually has a long history of restricting immigration—and that history proves moratoriums work!

Take, for instance, the Immigration Act of 1924: America’s most restrictive immigration policy, which limited America’s overall number of immigrants and established quotas based on nationality.  Among other things, the 1924 Act sharply reduced immigrants from “undesirable” regions like Africa while completely restricting immigrants from Asia, with a few exceptions.

Earlier, by Ann Coulter: Trump Vs. The Clintons: Who Has ACTUALLY Been Abusing Women?

Impeachments aren’t what they used to be. Today, young people are supposed to be excited that the president withheld taxpayer money from Ukraine—a half-billion-dollar foreign aid package that ticks off most Americans under any circumstances, going to a country notable for not being our country, and for a purpose other than the wall.

Now, Bill Clinton—that was an impeachment!

First, there was the corpus delicti of the case—a White House intern, Monica Lewinsky, earning her “presidential kneepads” by sexually servicing the president.

The telephonic evidence wasn’t about “Burisma Holdings Limited” or a Ukrainian prosecutor whose name no one can remember. It was tapes of Monica blathering on and on about servicing the president, including such fascinating items as:

  • Clinton couldn’t remember Monica’s name after their first two sexual encounters;
  • Monica’s suggestion to Clinton that she be named “assistant to the president for b--- jobs";
  • Her description of the presidential member (“think of a thumb”).

On Jan. 17, 1998, The Drudge Report broke the intern story. The following week, Clinton gave an impassioned, finger-wagging, squint-eyed address to the nation, saying:

“I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I’m going to say this again. I did not have sexual relations with that woman—Miss Lewinsky.”

Clinton spent the next seven months dragging the country through his lies, followed by the unraveling of his lies, then more lies, followed by more unraveling.
