he East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's deputy who was shot and killed Saturday night (March 18) has been identified by authorities as Sgt. Shawn T. Anderson.

Anderson, 43, and another deputy were called about 11 p.m. Saturday to the Classic Cuts salon, 1962 Oneal Lane, to investigate a rape case. Inside the salon, the deputies "struggled with the suspect and shots were fired," Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said in a release.

Anderson was struck by gunfire and taken to nearby Ochsner Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not said how many times he was shot.

The suspected gunman, whose identity has not been released, was wounded during the incident and taken to an area hospital for treatment. He remained hospitalized Sunday, said Trooper Bryan Lee, spokesman for Louisiana State Police Troop A.

I know what you're thinking—"Even if they won't tell us the shooter's name, surely to God they'll tell us what color he is!"

No. They won't. It's not in any of the stories, and when they hold a press conference for local MSM reporters, the reporters don't ask.

I can tell you that the strip mall beauty salon identified here is a black beauty salon with black staff and mostly black customers. (See its Facebook page here.)

So if Shawn T. Anderson was going to interview a rape suspect there, the odds are that he was dealing with a black man who had victimized a black woman.

That's what the police spend a lot of their time doing—protecting blacks from other blacks.
