South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley will give the response to the president's state of the union because the GOP has a “diversity problem,” chief Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz says.

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Monday blasted South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, the Republican Party’s pick to deliver the GOP's response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

“It’s pretty clear that Nikki Haley is being chosen because the Republican Party has a diversity problem,” Wasserman Schultz said on a conference call previewing the speech.

Undoubtedly, this will enrage the establishment and it will respond will the usual stupidity and claim that Wasserman Schultz is a “racist.”

But she’s right nonetheless, apropos of the joke, already old when Steve Sailer repeated it here 15 years ago:
