January 4, 2014HOW STUPID ARE YOU to try to rob a gun shop?
DelcoTimes.comCOLLINGDALE — The owner of the Suburban Armory gun shop fired a shot at two juveniles after they walked in the store and announced a robbery Thursday afternoon, police said.No injuries were reported. Two juveniles, ages 15 and 17, are in police custody and will be charged as adults with multiple offenses, including robbery, possessing an instrument of crime, reckless endangerment and possession of a controlled substance, Police Chief Robert Adams said.According to Adams, officers responded to a silent alarm at the business in the 1000 block of MacDade Boulevard at about 1:40 p.m.The owner reportedly told police that two black males entered the store wearing “Muslim-type clothing,” one of whom pointed a silver handgun at him as they announced the robbery. The incident was captured on video, according to Adams.County detectives assisted in the investigation, along with SEPTA police and officers from Sharon Hill, Folcroft, Darby Borough, Aldan, Clifton Heights, Glenolden and Tinicum police departments.
This is a typical Philadelphia story—there have been a lot of people in Philadelphia who dressed up in burqas to commit robberies. But William Bender`s big city tabloid story leaves out the detail that the Delco Times left in: that it was two black teens. You see, since they`re juveniles and won`t be named or photographed in the paper, the reporter, the police, and the victim are the only ones who know what color they are, and that`s why it`s important that the MSM not get away with covering it up."They had the whole-body Muslim garb," Collingdale Police Chief Robert Adams said. "They came in with the gun and pointed it for a holdup."Galiano, faced with the incongruous image of a male dressed in female Muslim garb waving a gun around, decided to make use of one of the many firearms at his disposal."It doesn`t make any sense," Adams said of the attempted robbery. "He carries a gun and it`s right out there in the open. He pulled it out and shot."Cops say Galiano fired one shot at the teens, ages 15 and 17. Neither was struck, but the .45-caliber blast apparently made them see the error of their ways. They ran from the store.[More]MOST TEENAGERS do dumb things. But not trying-to-rob-Joe-Galiano dumb.Galiano is the owner of Suburban Armory, the gun shop on MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale, Delaware County. There is a giant gun-shaped sign on the roof. Inside, Galiano is surrounded by guns, including the .45-caliber pistol on his hip. Can`t miss it.And the police station is just around the corner from the shop.Despite these conspicuous crime deterrents, two teenagers nonetheless decided to throw on burqas and pull a silver handgun on Galiano about 1:40 p.m. yesterday in a botched attempt to stick him up, police said.
